A Space to Breathe”  explores the retreat to isolation within our curated private spheres as a reaction to the present mayhem of the public plight.

The women in the series escape into safety and reflection, living pensively in a paradise of their own making; their natural beauty mirrored in the suburban landscapes.

They are vulnerable yet guarded by the physical decorations. The tattoos represent both their expression of beauty and act as a shield against commentary on their bodies.
